PENN CAN TO HOLD PRICES AND OFFER BUSINESS INCENTIVES IN 2008

 

Susquehanna, PA. Penn Can Speedway officials are pleased to announce that there will be NO price increases for the 2008 season. With area economy and gas prices a major concern, the speedway will do its part in helping to make racing more affordable in 2008. All pricing from the 2007 season will remain the same while programs to make things more economical for the fans and race teams will be instituted during the upcoming season.

 

On the grandstand side, management will be introducing a new family package admission plan. The speedway will have a family four pack which will see a price reduction from 2007. The new plan on regular nights of racing will include two adult admissions and two student admissions. The plan will be only $35 a savings of $9 from last season. Concession prices will also remain the same for the new season.

 

On the pit side, prices will also remain the same. Pit memberships will stay the same as 2007 as well as pit passes. Every effort will be made to keep costs down for the race teams while putting new programs in place to increase the purse payments during the season. The speedway will use a graduated purse structure in all divisions based on car count with extra incentives placed throughout the year in each division.

 

A new incentive program is in place at Penn Can for 2008 to help supplement the purses in all divisions. A marketing partnership program for local businesses and race teams will put money into the purses of ALL divisions. This new program will cost local businesses only $300 with tickets and incentives throughout the season making this an excellent business opportunity worth much more than the initial investment. The money generated will go back into the purses in all divisions. Businesses interested are asked to contact the speedway to become involve in this new marketing program. Race teams are also encouraged to get involved in making this program a success. While this new program has only been recently announced, many local businesses have expresses interest including Sar’s Body Shop in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, Tonkin’s NAPA in Carbondale, Hornbeck Chevrolet in Forest City, and S& W Awards in Corning, New York.

 

Penn Can Speedway will begin the 2008 season on Friday April 25th with a five star program featuring the modifieds, late models, sportsman, super stocks, and pure stocks.
