Once again this
season Penn Can Speedway will be one of the member tracks for the Race of
Champions DART Dirt Tour of the modifieds and sportsman. Both tours will offer
a generous point fund at the end of the season sponsored in part by DART
Machinery. The modifieds will have two races at
The tour schedule
for 2008 has been streamlined to make travel more convenient to more race
teams. Presently five tracks have signed for dates on the 2008 tour. Two early
season high paying events are schedule. On Saturday March 15th the
Selinsgrove Speedway will host the tour while Utica Rome will have a $10,000 to
win
Traditionally Penn Can Speedway drivers have found success on both the modified and sportsman tours. With only five tracks participating, the point championship should be in reach of many of the Penn Can Speedway stars. Over the years many Penn Can drivers have collected their share of the DART Machinery Point Funds for both the modifieds and sportsman.
A bonus program for drivers participating on the ROC DART Tour for both the modifieds and sportsman drivers from Penn Can Speedway is presently in the works. The first bonus will be provided for the highest finishing Penn Can regular at the Selinsgrove race on March 15th. Other incentives will be announced shortly.
